And her at 7 weeks

She similar looking to the one you asked about

Awww, so cute!  I was curious what she looked like before all her feathers came in

I posted this picture a few days ago and someone told me girl but I read above that girls would not have a comb that developed. Is it possible this is a boy. She is about 9 weeks old. Our other to EE do not have this big of combs. This is our first go with chickens. And are totally inexperienced. Actually the one of our other EE is pictured besides her. She's white.

And since we are new to chickens can you keep a roo with the hens? Given they all get along.

Agree about that not being a pea comb, but since it is still pale, I would say pullet also.
Keeping a rooster depends on how many hens you keep with it. 5 or 6 or more is a healthy amount. If a rooster has too few hens to mate, it can cause a little wear and tear on the poor girls.

Hope I can get someone's opinion, 2 1/2 wk old OE chicks, looking the the 2 I have pictured for comparison, does the first one have a 3 row pea comb??

2½ weeks is too young to be sure, but the one on top is probably a cockerel. The 3 rows of peas will get more obvious. Bottom one is more likely pullet with the single ridge down the center, but the comb could plump up in the next couple of weeks and turn her into a boy.

@Wishing4Wings Thanks. I figured the mix would throw off any tricks anyone would have. To throw another wrench in the works is that "daddy" is white.
My other chicks are from a buff silkie roo so they inherently have an orange color to them. No standard tricks with mine!
