Awww, so cute! I was curious what she looked like before all her feathers came in
I posted this picture a few days ago and someone told me girl but I read above that girls would not have a comb that developed. Is it possible this is a boy. She is about 9 weeks old. Our other to EE do not have this big of combs. This is our first go with chickens. And are totally inexperienced. Actually the one of our other EE is pictured besides her. She's white.![]()
And since we are new to chickens can you keep a roo with the hens? Given they all get along.
2½ weeks is too young to be sure, but the one on top is probably a cockerel. The 3 rows of peas will get more obvious. Bottom one is more likely pullet with the single ridge down the center, but the comb could plump up in the next couple of weeks and turn her into a boy.
