Easter Egger Sexing "tips and tricks" *Pictures Included*

I wanted to post an update on Marilyn and Henrietta. Penny is still looking very pulletesque. Marilyn has quite small, petite feet, hen posturing and I would feel pretty good if her wider comb wasn’t beginning to turn a bit pinker. Might see some red in her feathers too. Henrietta’s comb is very yellow not as pronounced as Marilyn’s but has a very upright posture and slightly larger feet. Marilyn is more gold and Henrietta darker with black/dark brown feathers appearing on the head.
The one in the first pic is a cockerel.

Haven't changed my guesses. Marilyn looks like a cockerel. Henrietta is still up in the air. The comb is a bit suspicious, but not enough to call it just yet.
To me they are all pullets until the cockerel traits show. Some show early, some later... and some stay pullets!

Thank you, I appreciate the feedback. I will post again in a few more weeks. Henrietta has given me a cockerel vibe for awhile now so I would not be surprised. Other than the comb, Marilyn seems pretty girly— the tiniest little feet and very submissive to the others but seeing some reds in the feathers now…and the comb, haha. It’s too bad, I can’t have roosters. ☹️

Hello again! Thought you might like to see Marilyn and Henrietta at 7 weeks. The first two are Marilyn.

Hello again! Thought you might like to see Marilyn and Henrietta at 7 weeks. The first two are Marilyn.
7 wks is usually when you start seeing differences in feather color. Henrietta looks like a pullet with the orange coming in on her chest and very little color in the comb.
Marilyn now has me second guessing. In a male, I would expect a redder comb at this point, and darker red splotches on the wings. Could be a slower developing male, or maybe she's a girl!
Enjoying your updates. Hopefully another week's growth will solve the Marilyn mystery.

Thank you! I have really appreciated your insight and have been learning a lot. Marilyn’s comb has kind of stalled out from the early initial growth and seems less pink even. It’s really weird. I guess it really isn’t over until they crow or lay an egg. 😂I have been looking at every 7 week cockerel image I can find and all seem bigger and redder than what I am seeing now so I’m kind of getting hopeful.

Hello again, I have some new photos of the trickster Marilyn. Marilyn is the smallest of my Easter Eggers now. The comb has only changed slightly and now the other “girls” are getting pinker combs. We are at about 9 weeks.

I've got 2 (if not 3) white and black EEs per guesses on breed on this forum, as they were labeled welsummers lol..

However, my white and black ones are pullets (I was hoping g one was a roo lol) these two are two of my favorite birds (I, however, am not their favorite lol)
