Easter Egger? Something Else? Gender?

I'm really hoping this is a pullet.

Is it an Easter Egger? Something else? This chick was HUGE and chipmunk colored, and has grown fast. She/He/It is about 9 or 10 weeks old now.

that is an EE and it's definitely a Mister EE. that comb is ca-ra-zay red.

Can it be called a roo just because of the red comb even though it has no wattles? I'm trying to learn myself.

That is a very gorgeous EE cockerel! If you look at his comb from the front, you should see one larger row of bumps down the middle flanked by a smaller row on each side. He is going to be one beautiful boy when he grows up!!!

On no, a roo!

I just don't know that I need another roo. And what good is an EE roo.. no colored eggs. I could just cry. I guess I could build another coop and run and get him some lady EE's... but really, I just do not need another roo!

He's a boy. EE's don't get wattles, and his tail is a very roo tail.

YEP!!! Looks like mine did at 8 wks old. Since I posted pics of mine, I've discovered my other EE is a roo as well, so no blue/green eggs for me either.

Turns out that the majority of EE's ordered by the feed store as pullets from Privet have turned out to be roos.

Pic of mine at eight weeks. At 13 wks, both of mine have gotten really pretty sickle (spell?) feathers.
