Easter Egger Thread!

Pics
Easter Eggers (at least all the ones I have owned & met) are very friendly towards people when raised with humans. :D Mine have always loved attention too.

Below (top to bottom): Abby, one of my Easter Eggers. :) She lays beautiful green eggs with brown speckles. Mareeonna (my brother named him when he was little... thus the odd spelling). She layed cream/white eggs. :)

Note about the missing beard on Abby: She used to have one but after her last molt, she never got it back... She is free of external parasites. It is a little odd. I also have a Black Sexlink that did not grow in her downy feathers on her rump after molting... she was clean as a chicken can be. However, with the following year's molt, she regrew the feathers on her bottom. Hmmm...View attachment 1127784 I know they look different but they where both brown easter Eggers labeled "Americanas" in the feed store. :p Since easter Eggers are not a breed, they are not always the same.View attachment 1127787

Princess Goldie is everyone's favorite we all love her color. so she gets held the most she does not seam to mind. She also is the only one laying out of 4, she has the best temperament
Chicky who was named by our 3 yr old, is the hardest to catch and the most explorative of the bunch.

They're both very cute! :love

Congratulations!! :highfive: It must be very exciting when you went to check and you saw her egg! The egg color is very beautiful; another wonderful advantage for EE keepers is that they get really pretty eggs! I can't wait to see the eggs I get from my bantie and my mixed EE! :) Around 1-1/2 months left until they do! :celebrate What do you do with your eggs? If you have a lot of extras, what do you do with them? I know I'll have a lot of extras with 5 hens that lay very well, so I need suggestions on what I can do?
