EASTER EGGER

I thought EE was just a polite term for Mutt. Didn't realize was going to get the hens cackling over the definition of it :D

Many will argue over what an EE is, but most commonly it is a bearded and muffed bird which resembles an Ameraucana but has no color or breed standards. Other mixes will appear differently, and yes EEs are mutts so you are right, but you can’t just call any mutt an EE. It must be a blue layer crossed with a brown layer, or have that in its background.

Ok, so now we know that EE's have some sort of standard.
So IS there any special name to call the true Mutt's then? Mr. Horny Rooster catches slow Hen and, you get whatever happened to be around that day?

Is there any reason why i'd not just let any ole chickens breed and see what pops out? Curious why this is not more of a thing.

I think that's just called a barnyard mix.

Bet they might be cheaper to get too since the lineage is questionable. Still a possibility of being a decent egg layer too Id think ... I might have to look into that.
