Easter Egger's and Ameraucana's = same thing

I was just thinking of popping over to TSC to get some of those beautiful Ameraucinas. You know the ones with beautiful mushy feather patterns.

The name Araucana and American Ameraucana, Easter Eggers hace been used in The USA for nearly a Century

As separate breeds, sure.
Not sure why Araucana is involved in this since it's a bit different.

So, ameraucana owners are proud they can control the color of the feathers thru selective breeding. I guess I dont see how that makes it different.

So, yes, I may be trying to ruffle some feathers here. I'm bored, what can I say more.

So Ameraucana breeders/owners take pride in breeding to the SOP, which is a great thing. It preserves and promotes, what they are trying to accomplish. That being said, does anybody else smirk when they cant stand someone with an "easter egger" claiming to be an Ameraucana. Genetically it may be the exact same thing with some color leakage, etc. Why are people so anal about pointing out and claiming that someones bird is in fact an easter egger?

And I’m not arguing that they are different because I own any pure Ameraucanas.

No breed is. That is how breeds are developed. From crossing. The Ameraucana breed was a result of crosses. Meaning its not pure right?
