Easter Egger's and Ameraucana's = same thing

So, ameraucana owners are proud they can control the color of the feathers thru selective breeding. I guess I dont see how that makes it different.

Is your entire argument here...

That ameracucanas and easter eggers aren't any different....

Because one is controlled and one isn't? XD

I mean like it kind of sounds like your entire summation here is that controlling aspects of the genetics of your birds is irrelevant. In which case why would we have any breeds of birds at all then? You sumatra is just an Ayam Cemani. Your Deathlayer is just a leghorn. Your Delaware is just a stupid looking Plymouth rock? All those backyard chicken mixes? All purebred birds. All of them.

Like... What?

Ok. *inhales*
Ameraucanas were bred from Araucanas, to preserve the blue egg gene, while eliminating the lethal tufted gene.
They come in set colour variations.
Can't list them all of the top of my head, but I remember some.
Wheaten, silver, white, black, buff, and red wheaten.
They must be muffed and bearded, clean legged, have small or non existent wattles, and a pea comb. They lay various shades of blue.

Easter Eggers ('Americanas'- hear the contempt in my voice, hatcheries) are complete mixes. They often lay coloured eggs. They can have any features.

Agreed.
However, if you cross a Brahma to a Speckled Sussex, are you going to call it an Easter Egger?

One may have leakage, one may not. Is that a differen't breed?
