Last year I went to this show and had a great time. I purchased a Black Copper Maran hen from a female breeder who was culling her laying flock for winter. She was a great bird and a good layer but was taken by a raccoon this summer. I'd love to replace her so I'd like to know if the woman who sold me that bird will be at Cobleskill in 2011.

got my catalog yesterday.

are the roads going to be open down there? how devastated is that area from H. Irene.

I know from work one of my reps who lives 30 miles north - was flooded by 8 ft of water

and most of the roads are closed.

hoping that there wont be a problem by the time the show comes around

Army is using the fairgrounds. More rain, it's awful.

there was supposed to be a rabbit show there this weekend i heard they moved it to a different location.

Fema is sending peeps from oklahoma to come and fix roads and bridges in the area.

they are talking about closing the interstate down there again and the people that i know that live down there are piling sand arround there restaurant so they can feed the volunteers until they get flooded out again. its raining buckets there still now and some people are using boats to get arround.

pray for the people down state. they are still out of power and the people down there have lost there homes due to the locke system failing. my friends down there lost there 4 story home. it floated away and smashed into trees. horrible. but they are alive and greatful for that because some of there friends have died.

its really bad down there. kids got stuck at school unable to get home parents were told if they could do so safely they could pick up their kids. they still had folks living in shelters from when irene hit.
