Yeah i've seen the dobie "you have got to be kidding me" face!!! LOL I grew up with a few The thunder has settled and we got 2 real quick douses of rain, i mean like a minute in durration. I need it to rain more tho. My chickies are out and about in the yard finding treasures and singing songs. I'd actually prefer the rain to hold off for a few hours so I could get out there and finish this bunny hutch so Amanda could move out of the live trap! Hubby just walked to the big pond to go fishing with my dad, my daughters friend spent the night and everyone else is still snoozin. I finally got something yesterday to confine my broken boston, a small dog house, I had to modify it to contain him but it'll work. For 5 bucks ya just can't beat it! Sunday morning is normally when I head to Jonesboro to the flea market, maybe i'll go after hubby fishes a bit although a late start means all the goodies will be gone. Ive never gotten to go alone tho! Always with my boy in tow because he wants to go "treasure hunting". Ohh well, I guess the best thing to do on a day like this is play it by
ear! Hubby said he'd help me rearrange the bedroom, maybe if I start he'll come to my rescue! >heres to wishfull thinking!<

Hurray, my phone is loading again! Oh yeah, that face hasn't changed one bit, ha. How cute to think about chickens singing in the yard, but I think its awesome you can build a hutch, I wouldn't know where to start. Glad u found something for ur doggie. Where is that flea market, I've never been. I used to go to that one in JC on Bristol hwy once in a while, but its been gone for a few yrs.

Its right on 11e towards Greeneville out of JC. Coming from your direction it will be on the left http://jonesboroughfleamarket.com/home.html

thoughts on the chicken or the egg...and is the hen a full size or banty?? and how long have you had her??

LOL Either !!! Shes a banty and i've had her a week. She was supposed to be close to a year old, but i'm questioning this tidbit.

if the egg came from that hen.....we need some more pics..is she bearded? My initial thought is it is an ee/columbian wyan cross. Nella can weigh in on this, but sometimes if you cross an EE with a brown layer you will get a pink egg. Also many times early eggs can be such an odd brown or tan as to look pink. If that egg came from that hen and she is not a banty, then I would say she is not a year old...probably more like 6-7 months.

No shes a banty tiny little thing. Not bearded unless she shaves daily. I cant find my camera, but i'll look again later.

if she is a banty then the egg is normal size for her?? that pink is probably just an odd ball brown. Does she have feathered feet? A light Brahma Banty perhaps? If no feathered feet then I am almost 100% certain she is a columbian wyandotte bantam. Just a shot though...im def. not the person for banty questions.

Try asking "wegotchickens" thats all she does I think. Although more d'uccles than anything.

Hey guys, if anyone is interested in starting meat rabbits I have a litter of babies that are for sale... acctually I only want to sale 1-2 but the ones that we keep are going into the freezer in 3-5 weeks.

I did have 7 but lost one yesterday from the heat, so I have 6 to choose from... 4 bucks and 2 does, the does are the Jap color and one of the brokens. The orange, black, broken, and white one are all bucks. The momma was a California/New Zealand (that's what I was told) and the possible fathers were a french lop, harlequin, or english spot.
