Awwww... How cute! I was betting on it being all yolk.
Did you loose your lav girl to a predator? You probably told us but I've slept since then. If it was natural causes, do you think it had anything to do with her egg laying?
I got all of my orps wormed. I didn't see any worms in the Wyandotte pen. Did they show up for you then next day?
I'm glad I did it. My young girls were SKINNY! I don't know if it's because they are still filling out or because of worms, but I'm glad I took the cautious route. I doubt I'll redose since I just used the Wazine a little while ago. I don't want to pickle them.
I think I might have wormed myself, too. I kept the plunger part of the syringe in my mouth while I was choosing my next victim and when I was returning them to the roost. By the time I was done I had a distinct medicine taste in my mouth.
The good news is that my math worked out fine. I counted chickens and it equaled the number of mL I used, so unless someone got wormed more that once and a different one got overlooked, everyone is good to go.
Now I just need the Ameraucanas and Banties...
I have not really decided what happened. I went out to feed and she was on the nest but jumped down to eat. I noticed she kept acting like she was swallowing hard. First thing I thought was gap worm but I had just wormed her and they have not been out. Then I thought food impacting...but she was drinking water and eating. I really hated losing her...if the weather had not been so nasty I would have done an autopsy on her. So far everyone else is fine.
