Well it messed up alot of the wire, and my father says it go in the cage with the bird and brought him out as there is feathers everywhere inside the cage, kinda in a circle. The other was a sliding door coop with a latch goes down into part of the pen, that one is hard to decribe but he was a smaller roo and no feathers around that one. This makes no sense to me because one coop was very close to my tom turkey's pen and he didnt make and noise, neither did the guineas and we were awake it happened at about 10pm. We have lots of coyotes and last year a fox had kits in my neighbors old barn but not hearing a thing

. Whatever it is has to be super fast.
I had a stray dog chew through the wire of a hutch and kill a close to 20 lb flemish giant buck of mine and his brother lost some toes. I can see pretty much anything around here do that though, racoons here get huge, skunks are very powerful and I'm sure there are some bears close by.

Wanted Feed Bags: Nutrena Country Feeds (I have plenty of the tan ones) Also would like some of the light Blue Purina Layena bags.

THANKS!!

Ducks are wonderful for eating slugs. Slug control was actually one of the main reasons I considered getting ducks in the first place.

I started with ducks, I got them for bug control actually, flock of muscovys which mostly turned out to be drakes and began flogging, biting and and trying to mate with anyone and anything. No one would come visit us anymore and people at work thought I was in an abusive relationship with all the bruises and cuts. Well I traded them to a lady with a bigger farm and many female ducks on it and she gave me my first chickens. And that's how I ended up here

wow...I had a lot to catch up on.
Best guess on the Pred. is a mature coon.
@ tnchick... thanks for the compliment, and I wish you would have said something about the bags a few days ago, I just got rid of a bunch. Is it ongoing thing? I will save them for you if so.
@ stang.... you know me and the little ones, they are hardly big enough for a snack

. But those little things sure are cute anyway.
@ Nella. Ring, Ring? Where indeed are you and Lori. Hope all is well with you both. I know you hate the new format, but we miss you

. I haven't even heard any butts hitting the nest box lately.
For the garden pests problems...Out of my expertise completely. We only had problems with weeds and rabbits last year ( I think ? ) Going to raised beds this year to at least help with the weeds and soil control. I do know our lawn is full of grubs though. Every time I dug a hole last year I would see half a dozen or so.
Dog update.... I lost the fight for another dog (can you believe it?) Im such a pushover!!!
We are getting a female long haired chihuahua puppy in a couple weeks when it is weaned. Now I have to learn how to spell the name of the darn breed correctly I guess.
Daph...I wanted to ask you about flea issues with your little one (she is white like Lucy, right?) Lucy attracts fleas like crazy and breaks out every time I use even a mild flea shampoo or any of the drops on her) Do you have an issue with your white dog as well?

you? lose a fight? I thought we were supposed to see you as a bad @$$? Oh, the offer still stands on Nella the rabbit whenever you want a doe to get started with, I can breed her before she leaves but you'll end up with more mini lops!

I dunno if I want to keep her for another litter or not, I would prefer to move her on and get some more experienced does with color.

Your Welcome! Yes, its a on going thing. What kind did you have? I have a few family members keeping bags for me. I meet a park ranger last year that has a huge farm in Jamestown. She has keep me stocked with Country acres rabbit bags (yellow), noble goat, country acres horse (purple) and a Purina horse feed that's a blue striped bag.

Did any of you see the ad in backyard poultry. Buy 3 bags of nutrena feed and get a free reusable egg carton. I would like to have 2 of those for my sis. So we can just trade out egg cartons. When she needs eggs. Since we trade out so much. These would hold up better than the ones we have been using. LOL They don't hold up with a 5 year old and a 3 year old who wants to help us all the time.

I was just wondering if anyone knows what kind of chicks the TSC in either Johnson City or Kingsport will have or had last year. I really don't need any more chicks right now, but I drive by one of them every day on my way to work and it is oh so tempting :D
