Those are GREAT pictures. I love that broody. She looks like she's doing a fantastic job. All three of my broodies left their babies when they were a lot younger than that.daph,
Here are a couple of recents ones of your babies
Thanks. I didn't get to work on it today maybe tomorrow.
Quote: Next one I build... Im going to figure what size I think I need, then double that. I'll be broke by then, so I'll borrow enough to make it 20% bigger after that.![]()
I need 3 8x8 rooms with a 2 foot walk way, a 4x4 brooder area and a 4x4 storage area. 10x32 should do it, LOL Wait till I tell the wife we need a 6,000.00 coop
I hope you have babies soon!I love that little coop! It might be a little snug for three in the winter, though. Two would be more comfortable... or three bantams if you like them. Most people say that four sq. ft. (not counting nesting boxes) is the minimum interior space per bird. My big girls look cramped at that ratio by the time they're eight weeks old.
I set nine eggs last night, so I might have some more little ones soon!
My first impression was def. a pullet. BUT.. Then I saw those big fat legs and that made me seriously question if it is a cockeral. Can you get a pick of the one in question next to a known pullet of the same age (showing the legs) ?I know this is not the EE sexing forum but do I have any hope of this little one being a pullet? thanks
The other one (I do not have a good pic) but he's in the background behind the RIW x EE cockerel.
His tail feathers have 2 longer pointed ones.
