Anyone know if there are any feedmills around?I know they can sell it in 100 pound bags. I would like to find somewherwe I can buy layer crumbles from instead of paying 17 dollars a week for a bag of layer feed at TSC. I know there used to be one in the Maryville area, but I am not for sure. Any ideas????....

Warning to all:

My friend's trailer that wasn't even in plain sight, with a locked tongue, was stolen last night. According to her this is the 4th theft in her subdivision, 3 trailers and 1 lawn mower. I was reading on CL about someone else in Knoxville who's trailer was stolen. Keep trailers away from plain sight, and heavily chained to a HUGE tree (or secured in a building if possible)! Keep all mowers in a locked building! If anything, make it hard to steal so that it takes too much time for anyone to just grab and go. One of the thefts occured when the owner was home!!! According to my friend the guy went inside to get a drink and heard laughing, went out to see a blue truck with their mower leaving! This isn't anything new, of course, my mom had her weedeater stolen a while back when she left the garage door open to get a glass of water.

They are getting braver! Nothing easy to grab and worth money is off limits! As far as I know, police have no leads to go on, besides a blue truck.

I am looking for something like this as well, so I just looked it up and seems promising

Thanks, I will have to check this out. I have about 30 on the layer and 30 still on the grower so I wanted to see what else was out there. It gets quite expensive. Especially when you have 2 goats that like to eat the layer pellets up! I have called and left a message there. I will let you know what they say. Thanks for looking this up.

Ok, I spoke with the number listed here for the Maryville Co-op. The feed mill is closed down. The guy there told me it closed a couple of years ago. He did say however they have a band of layer pellets there that are 16% protein like the normal layer pellets for 9.80 a bag for 50lbs. That's alot cheaper than what I was paying at TSC. I have never heard of the brand KTA and I can't find much info on it. Does anyone know much about KTA brand feed? They guy I spoke to on the phone uses it for his hens and says it works great.

Yay welcome! You will love your Lemon orps. I have them also. I just started with them a few months ago too. If you wouldn't mind me asking, where did you find yours at around here?
