Thank you. And would you believe they are one of the most productive backyard poultry you can keep?
I would love to have some ducks but there's just no way we could provide a pond for them. Way too expensive!

That big younger guy moved up there to take that store did'nt he? He had Newport but I know he lived in Morristown and they told me he transferred. If it is him...he is great. Really listens to customers and tries to do what he can.Oh...forgot about Morristown TSC......I am so impressed! They now have B=Complex,,,,Rooster Booster,,,,and ALOT of other stuff I have not seen in other stores. I am proud of the manager for trying so hard to cater to us chicken people. Go take a look...course I noticed quite of it is being sold quick. If you are there please ask for the manager and thank him. He has really give cooperate a hard time about not stocking this stuff.
You will be very happy with those chicks Im sure. Daph has turned into quite the chicken mommy and her offspring (her hens offspring, that is) are gaining quite the reputation.I am getting baby chicks from Daphne!!!![]()

Ahh one of the common misconceptions about keeping ducks. Ponds are not required for them, I only use a kiddie pool plus a few deeper water pans so they can fully submerge their heads. Full submersion is required for their beaks in order to clean the nostrils.I would love to have some ducks but there's just no way we could provide a pond for them. Way too expensive!![]()
give us a pic of those EE's and me or Daph could probably tell you on if they are roos or notI have some 4 week old chicks, 3 Black Aussies and 2 EE's. I'm kinda guessing I have a BA roo and 2 BA pullets. I am guessing because the one I suspect being a roo has a little larger comb than the other two and does the "running in your face chest bump". I am sure ya'll have a better definition for that but that sounds like a roo thing right? He is also the bravest, he is the one that checks things out first.
I am hoping the 2 EE's are pullets. I am praying.![]()
Now the thing is, I love love LOVE my EE's so if one of them turns out to be a roo I will give the BA roo away. I sure hope both EE's are not roos! I would have to start over again. Oh my!
Sooo, if things don't turn out the way I want (I'm a Murphy if that is any indication of how this will go) I don't wanna keep doing this! Raising babies I mean, getting attached to them and then having to give them away. How hard is it to find them not quite laying age but old enough to know they are pullets or roos? I know they are more expensive but I am willing to do it to get what I want.
I have decided I only want EE's and BA's.
