Well, I thought I would post a picture of my tiny flock. They graduated to a 75 gal aquarium this weekend and are growing like weeds. I hope you can bear with me. My little party of four has been a total joy. Thank you Terry for my first babies.

The black ball of fuzz over near the door is my Toy Poodle that has taken up guardian duty. He pulled his blanky over in front of them about an hour after they moved in. He won't even let my hubby too close to the babies.

And yes, he goes to the groomers today. And what you can't see is the broody chick. My little Partridge Silkie, Tilly, is on the far side of the brooder, nestled into a mound of shavings she made and sitting like a big girl. That is her favorite spot. So, I have 1 black Silkie (Zoe), 1 Partridge Silkie (Tilly), and 2 Lavender D'Uccles (Emma & Trudy) basking in the roman ruins. The background of the tank is glued, so its staying. So far, so good. And yes, they are named...couldn't help it.

@ TNBEARCHICK we are practically neighbors.

@littlechicklet pretty pix of your Orps

Thanks for all the help and advice you folks have given. I have learned a lot and hope to continue to do so.
well...hello neighbor!! Snozzle is from gray so she will be your neighbor too! She has faverolles and d'uccles.

OK folks HELP me identify this Roo.
I have no ideal what he is or how old he is.
I just know I have twin roos and they are very pretty.

Sorry the pics are a little fuzzy. I think they are camera shy.

If needed I can try to get some more that might not be fuzzy.

The are pics of the same roo.
One of them has a straight comb and the other one is a rose comb.

He is a BM... Barnyard Mutt. Looks like a cross between a red and black sexlink almost but who really knows without knowing what was in the barnyard.

Stitch isn't doing well, had poop compacted to his fur and was in his vent and blocking stuff up.. seems Stitch may be a boy... I warmed his butt in warm water and un-stuck all the doo-doo.. hope he starts feeling better

Everything was stretched and tender, when I was done his eyes looked watery... I held him and walked around with him, he is back with momma and litter mates

Hope I caught it in time and it'll not need meds...

UT has lowered the charge on necroscopys and shipping. I paid my vet $45 for shipping and the UT charge.

edited due to forgetting to say thanks for the info on the necropsy price change.
Talbot Poultry- Your new pen/coops look nice.

I am sorry but can't help any with the breed or show quality questions but I am with stang on the breed due to comb difference.

Lunar- thank you. I am enjoying them.

New to chickens and this site. 1st post.

The hen house/coop is ready. Looking for 3 or possibly 4 young, friendly, docile, duel-purpose pullets to move in. Enjoying all the post and information. Cheers!

and the E. TN thread. Someone may speak up but if you are close enough there is a show this weekend in Newport. I think there will be chickens there for sale. This is my first time going to the show so I am not much help.
