Thanks:D

Yes chicken crazy i guess you would say, I have alittle of everything from polish to call ducks and of course the family turkey who is a awesome pet. I have been showing birds for going on 6 years now and this fall i will be the chairperson of the first show ive helped with, soo excited, theres a thread in shows/chickenstock part about the show. It is in Sevierville on october 15th.

id be interested to see pics of what you have around here. do you ever go to the sat. stock barn for fun, the first monday flea market at same location, or found anyone/were else local who has our interests in critters, silkie girl? im just getting into silkies, trying to downsize and focus one a few bantams i have and want to work with instead now. dont even know to much about the shows though probably come across them eventually on here, but not able to drive kinda limited to m immediate area.

Speaking of Saturday trades.... I'm going to try to get up and go to the Madisonville one this Saturday. Got some OEG bantams and some bantam crosses and I MIGHT take some of my standards for sale IF (and only if) someone from BYC wants to meet me there to pick them up. I generally don't take standards to these things. Sorry if it offends but I don't want a bird I just sold to be treated badly. I leave it at that.

Anywho... if anyone is going let me know. I need to move some birds and make some room.

OH!!! New to the sale list is a sexed pair of bantam barnevelders... 8 weeks old. Interested, PM me.

Yes I go to the First monday sale, actually have some mixed breed chicks due to a few of my laying hens flying the coop and going broody all at once. So I will be there this coming monday, try to make it out there every month but sometimes the weather is too rough to go. This fall I will have some partridge silkies for sale, maybe some mille fluer D'uccles too, all depends on how the hatching is going. We are in the process of switching over to almost completely bantams with a few exceptions, one being my polish, and of course the pair of sebastopol goslings. looking into expanding my call duck flock this fall, cant decide between getting a second color or staying soley with whites.

I'm thinking about selling my Pair of Buff Orpingtons. I thought they were both Hens. But Gracie is a Grayson. lol they are a beautiful pair. I can pick Grayson up and when he hears me out side he comes running. I wish I had more room to keep them and raise chicks off them. They are about 5 months old. They stick right with one another. So I thought I would just sell them together. I just don't know what to do.

yes. i used to only go to the sales local to round up stray livestock (exercise and training for the border collie i had, and tri color over white rough collie pup i have now), and socialize with fellow critter keepers, but ended up getting chicken crazy again after just looking for a couple hen friends for a rescued crippled one, so she had safety in numbers to just hobble around my fenced back yard area. now im needing to sell off or trade down, six hens, and some roosters, at least. hoping to find some performing pigeons, or at least cheap young racer/homer for friend for my one i hatched from pair of eggs (i tried to help the other out when thought stuck in shell, and it just wasnt done yet..).

yes, seen the one guy recently having pigeons, but neither of us knows to much about them, and he says he just buys and sells, and knows theyre worth alot so sells for to much for not knowing anything about them, though one guy who has a pro setup, has awesome birds, and regret not getting some of his young, as was awwwd by the adults but didnt know he had the young ones in back that were trainable and cheaper. maybe ill just try to find a pair this monday if he is there, as he hasnt been last two or three i think, since ive been off of work again. thanks for the heads up! my young racer was starting to eat on his own for the first time this morning feeding, and i took him twice as far to see if hed fly right inside and to the cage, or loiter around, and he was back to his old self, but still slower. he is getting trained good to come to me if my hand or arm is out, and stay there to be petted etc, but will fly back to cage and not just come straight back to me if held and tossed or dropped (im not doing it as cruelly as it sounds).
