I have this little rooster to be up for re-homing as a pet. He is 8 weeks old Wed. He is a super sweet D'uccle. He does have a foot issue. In hatching, his little toes are not flat out like they should. He gets around fine, but I am not sure if he could hang on to breed later on. I could be wrong. He is a pretty lavender boy and has nice leg/foot feathering if he does. He is FREE to a good home and would make a nice docile pet for someone. PM me if anyone is interested.

I haven't posted pics of the Orps yet this week. I am very sad to say I have lost the one and only definitive pullet.

I worked outside all day today and thought it would be okay to let them free range. I was wrong.

I don't know what happened or where she went but she is gone. I would hope she would come in tomorrow but after the last time I lost one I am very doubtful. I am hoping the other black is a pullet so I will have at least one; I am almost positive both blues are males. I will try to get pics tomorrow.

Tommy finished his little coop. (I'll post photos in a couple of days) We moved the tractor up in between the new coop, in front of the guinea run, and to the left of my other two coops. It is perfect. Everyone is within 15 feet of the next. NOW I can get stuff done.

aww Angie, I hope she reappears like the one did last time. I will keep my fingers crossed for ya.

Thanks Lunar but my last one did not come back and this one has not either.

Oh well, I still have 3 left and really am hoping the one black is a girl.

OH Angie...my bad. I thought you had one stay gone all night and then found her in the corner of the yard. Maybe that was someone else. I sowee.

I still hope she comes back.

I got 2 more eggs today and 2 are sitting in boxes making attempts. My youngest Serama hen was privacy stricken and came out of the coop while I was checking water and laid it right beside me on the ground. I was so proud of her. And it is a nicely shaped egg. Not bad for her first. I don't know if putting the younger chicks out there has stirred them to lay or if they are just hitting the right age to get going. Either way, I am happy to get eggs.
