the Mennonite/Amish sale is a good one, and kcsunshine is right, you need to be there at 9 am if you want anything, they sell out fast. They usually have calves, rabbits, lots of chickens, goats, turkeys, pigeons, and even guinea pigs! They are my neighbors, I live right before you get to them on the left. Usually people stop by my place after the Mennonite sale, if you go to it please stop in and see me, I would love to meet more BYC people. I also sale alot of poultry that day, (I sell chicks everday but alot that day) I have 15 varieties of chicks, guinea keets, turkey poults, 5 varieties of quail, and Silver pheasant babies, red golden babies and lady amhearst babies. I also have some extra lavender orpington roosters that need a new home.

anyone have an extra rhode island red rooster, they want to rehome fast? a friend is coming to drop some stuff off tomorrow from Virginia, and his roo and some hens were killed by a neighborer's dog (not an issue any more), and he has four lonely hens he is wanting another roo to watch over them.

I was just outside to count chickens in coop and collect eggs. One broody was out eating. The other was sitting with at least one chick I saw. Not sure if I heard more peeps or not was not going to bother her.

Do you ever sell pullets ready to start laying? I'd love to add a couple of Delewares to my mix, but don't want to try to raise chicks. Went to sell at Amish farm in March, but by the time we got there they had a sorry lot left.

I do when I can. The last hatch was 60% roosters so I didn't sell any females. Right now I'm raising up some Will Morrow Dels and wont' be keeping all of them... so there may be some females in there available.

I had leghorns and cochin hens for sale in the fall and sold them all... just the Dels have been rooster heavy. I wish I could sex eggs!!

actually he said even chicks would be fine, as im sure he will get a roo out if them. also he is looking for light Sussex, and african geese, but doubt anyone would have any.
