Wow...thought you may have gotten out of chickens, its been so long since we heard from you. LOL
Glad to hear everything is ok and you got rid of a chevy product in favor of; well...pretty much anything else

My work van is a 95 dodge 2500 van with the 360 in it. It has 194,000 and runs almost like new.

@ cybercat.

Are you doing all Rocks. I saw Plymouths and Partridge?? in the pics. Dont feel bad about the heat..I dont know how everyone else is doing, but out of the 11 hens that are old enough to lay we are only getting an average of 5 eggs a day. I doubt any will go broody this year. The Cochin crosses I got from Nella probably will next year though. Still in it just for the eggs at this point but will show 2 of the Gold Laced next year to see how they do ( I almost hope badly so I dont get bit by the show bug, LOL)

Did someone say Nella and Broody? LOL

I have 3 broodies right now that have all gone broody within the last week. Oh dang it, four...forgot about the girl who has been broody a while. Plus my 3 "new" birds I got last weekend....2 were broody when I got them. I have them in the broody breaker cages for Quarantine anyways, and they already appear to be non-broody.

I have a few weeks off from showing...then back to a rabbit show on 9/3, chicken show at TN Valley Fair...gonna drop off 9/9 I think. Then rabbit show in NC 9/10, back to the actual chicken show at TN Valley Fair on 9/12......phew, then the showing season starts in earnest.

I have baby bunnies all over the place if anyone is interested in PETS. Squinty will be ready in 2 weeks, and then the next batch in about 7 weeks and the last batch in 8 weeks. And Smores is due early September, so her babies will be ready early November.

Well, my plans were to wait 1 more year. Unfortunatly nature does it's own things in its own time. While it was unplanned, it's not completely unwelcomed. Just not fully prepared for it so now i must scramble to prepare. I have a Boston Terrier almost 2 years old, shes my baby, shes my darlin, shes a pain in the rear! I took in 2 neglected and/or abandoned Boston boys, one has moved to Maryland the other, with a nearly broken back is here. Well....i let him out of his crate for a while yesterday when i took my daughter to school only to return home to find them stuck together THROUGH THE DOOR OF THE CRATE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It HAD to hurt is all i can say. So....unless I get "lucky" and it just didnt take, i'll be having baby beans in November. I had a stud lined up, all his health checks had come back great as did Stella's. One more year...thats all I needed! UGGGGGGGGG The only alternative thing i could do is take her and have her spayed and have a doggy abortion done. Sorry, just a vent, i've never had a dog go to such extents to get some action. We women sure are all powerful arent we?

I've heard of this happening before, its unreal. Mayb you will get lucky so u can breed her to a great stud

No, Bostons most of the time require c-sections so i would only allow 1 litter. She'll be spayed when they are delivered. The dog can barely walk while his back heals..but apparently his "thruster" still works wonderfully >as my hubby put it<
