I showed in the spring and it was $3 per chicken. I don't know if they have a website but there is plenty of time to get your paper and send it back in.
*sigh....I don't get to go to the Nov show this year....knee replacement in the morning. Will see everyone here in a few days. Those attending the show and take pics....please post them!!

Interesting hypothesis.
From what I have seen and know about flocks; roosters take "ownership" of their flock and are more likely to mate with those that are an integral part of that flock (those raised together would be more likely to be mated).

The hypothesis comes from an article in one of the poultry magazines I read over the Summer. If I had to I could look around and find it. I figured it explained the behavior of one of my hens.

As usual, YMMV. (Your Mileage May Vary)

Hey all, I am going to be in Newport for the show, am looking to purchase a Partridge Silkie hen or two, to add to my breeding stock.. Anyone going to be selling any there?

How about Buckeyes? I can't get any without breaking my two-breeds-only rule and I love them! I don't think they're the best producers, but they're pretty and I am all about the rose comb, now. I stressed all last winter about the orps getting frostbite. Never have to worry about that with the SLW. You should get some and share lots of pictures so I'm less tempted.
