your not the only one!! I got lost with my GPS in the middle of Chattanooga. Had to go train the new girl for work. Needed to get back to MLK BLVD and couldn't figure out how to get back to that rd. Then back to HWY 27. (keep sending me to 75 and I didn't want to go that way But thanks to my chickens... I remembered I passed a Tractor supply in Soddy Daisy. So I send a text to 46645 (google w/o e) tractor supply, Soddy daisy, tn and got their address. Then put that in my gps. got my back to hwy 27 and i made it home alive.

There were a few calls there last spring. It's not a really big show. Great to get your feet wet with, though.

It'll be a big show by the time we're done with it! LOL. I am bringing 2 or 3 NH cockerels, 4 NH pullets.....plus 2 blue mottled bantam cochins, plus a few black mottled bantam cochin pullets/hens. Might be another New Hamp person bringing some to compete against me

There weren't enough LF there last time, so we are going to fix that all by ourselves!

BTW, that speckled sussex girl is RIDICULOUS. You can lean down and pick her right up. She is so full of herself these days, she cracks me up. Always up to no good! She was the only bird out in the middle of the open part of the yard the other day, just standing around looking at the sky. I thought, girl you are crazy you are about to be hawk bait! She just doesn't have a care in the world! LOL

Nella that is funny.

That crazy buff Cochin X come hauling butt across the yard the other day towards the coop. I just thought my prissy GLW was picking on her again and I think the other hens thought she was just having a Prozac day..until I saw the hawk in the sky!!!! About that time here come a long line of hens doing their best to keep up. of course MR. "Lard Butt" was bringing up the rear just a waddling like crazy. I bet that buff was queen of the coop that evening, LOL.

Well, I was planning to just come for the day - 3.5hrs each way - but got persuaded to travel Friday and stay overnight, cooping up my birds that evening. It will only be my second showing, will have a Black Silkie pullet and a Buff Orp cockerel (LF). It will also be my first visit to TN......

Just wanted to share that a friend of mine has a show stopper BR roo and a Black Orp (I believe English lines) roo for sale and she is planning on attending the Newport show... she does not regularly come to East TN, so if you are interested (both are show quality) then please PM me so I can let her know.

Trust me, both are top quality and I would take her BR if I didn't carry the same line and have enough roosters already.

Arghh, I wish my reds turned out well LOL. They were hatchery though and look a lot more like RIR's to me. I think maybe I'll just go ahead and enter 3 of my GLW girls though for giggles. The only thing I am worried about is them being handled. They are fine with me, but are so dang prissy they dont really like strangers touching them. They will still have someone there testing, right?

I'm bringing some REALLY NICE new hamps. Mine are a bit young to be showing but I am bringing them anyway for experience.

Tyson will be there. He is very new, from Kathy Bonham in MO.
