We are new to this page and looking for a rooster... We have four girls and our kids are wanting to hatch some eggs. Breed isn't important, but must be friendly!

Thanks! Fortunately the other hatched shortly after my post, and after venturing off to TSC and coming home with 7 Cornish Broilers, I found the other had made no progress so intervened. All I did was break the shell more and pulled some of the stuck membrane off and put him back in, he took a few minutes but he pushed out and the shell was stuck to him so pulled that off after he was out. He had some blood on him but seems to be fine now. I turned the bator off and have the 2 in a separate brooder from the other chicks.

100% Oh yea.

I'll bet that happens because you actually leave yours alone. I pester mine to death and candle every night and wonder why my hatch rates are less than 100%

This is actually I think my first 100%... I think it's because my rooster is very fertile... which is good!

ETA: I think also because I really didn't hover over it much, I put water in every so often... not as much as I usually do.. I wonder if that has anything to do with it.

@Everyone

Tnbarnqueen mentioned it might be fun to get together for a covered dish picnic sometime in March. I told her it sounded like a great idea to me. A good opportunity to Hang out, fellowship, relax, swap some stories, meet up for any trades and sales. etc.
I know ill pers. be going to Knox in April and of course Newport in May.....but I think a little get together and some R&R would def. do me some good before that. And now that barnqueen is off her cane; I know she wants to play soccer (lol)
We were thinking the state park in Morristown and are working on a feasible date. Please let one of us know if you have any suggestions or input
