@stang Maybe a strange question here, but what do you do with your excess rabbit poo? I've read it makes great fertilizer is why I ask...

@ grawg, we try to use it in places where we're trying to grow stuff, like we have a "ditch" that runs behind us right after the steps and we've been having trouble growing grass there, so hubby covered the seeds with the rabbit poo from my last cleaning. It's not only a good fertilizer it's the only poo you can throw in the garden straight from the animal.

Does anyone know were to find healthy meat rabbits locally in East TN? We just moved from GA up here and had to get rid of a lot for the move. We kept all our diary goats and our 4 little chickens, but have been wanting some meat rabbits since the move.

@110Organic - these are all the TN breeders who've registered with that site, I would be be careful about cheap rabbits on CL since you never know what you're getting. Though breeders have had diseases go through their rabbitry they usually stand behind their animals health. Before buying any rabbit, make sure to ask the breeder whether they stand behind their rabbits. I know I would refund or replace any rabbit I sale from my barn if the said rabbit develops symptoms within a certain amount of time and as long as I believe it really could have been sick before sale. Like the black mini rex buck I bought had some eye gunk when I bought him and the seller told me to keep her up to date to make sure it wasn't just her poking him in the eye. Anyway, the list has more meat breeds near the bottom of the list.
