Hey guys I know we are mainly chickens, but I have a goat question. Yesterday I purchased 2 doe Pygmy goats that are 4 months old. I put them in a covered dog kennel that is 10x12. I want to leave them in there for about a week so they will get used to the place and not try to escape when I let them out in the field. I noticed that one of my little doe girls has developed a cough that she didn't have yesterday. She sounds like she is maybe trying to cough something up. She's not weezing or breathing heavily or congested sounding. I am new to goats and I was wondering if any of you all that have experience with them have had this problem? I did just introduce some fresh hay this morning and I noticed when I put it down for them that it was very dusty. Any ideas on what this could be, how to treat it if I should, and what to look out for? They have had short interactions with the chickens. Thanks for you help, there is so much wisdom on here between you guys.

it can be as simple as just a way of communicating. Goats will cough when they are in an uncomfortable situation or when they think their is danger. Make sure that the has has no mold of any kind. Goats are very sensitive to mold and it can make them very sick.

Im sorry to say I probably wont be able to make the picnic. I had planned on going but I just started a new job and it is wearing me out, I hope everyone has lots of fun though.

FINALLY! My new charger cord came for my laptop and I have internet!!

there are 6 fish and they have a cubby hole under the rocks.

I think I'll be bringing myself and 1-2 others for the picnic, I'll also try to bring cupcakes and buffalo chicken dip... we'll see, I can become creative or lazy in the kitchen at times.
Very nice. My son dug one by hand 2 years ago...I "helped"

Yeah it will be me plus the dw and 2 kids as well as a friend who has chickens.

We'll bring some salmon salad dip plus a few sides like chips and such.

Also, are we still doing the $5 farm related item swap?
