Do all of the Tractor Supply Companies do this? I have never seen any at the one in Lenoir City. I would love it if they had one. is this somethingyou have to ask them to do?
My husband said they do it. (I just moved her last March so have no idea) I do know the coop in Greenback just had theirs. When we went to the knox co fair, I got a business card from one of the breeders that I thought had great hens. His name was W. Terry Disney out of Lake City. Do you or anyone else know anything about him?

StacyTn. I also live in Ooltewah--you must leave in a zip code different than the 37363? I'm less than 8 miles from Chattanooga. I read Eastern Tennessee mostly and Middle also. On a different note, winters coming and I'm still in the temporary coop that is 2 mesh/fence walls with 2 sides being the barn walls. If I can post pictures anyone with suggestions on winterizing that will still allow light in, and not too expensive? This coop will be used after the larger coop is done to brood chicks and to Q sick or new birds from the main flock--Mostly spring/summer housing--thinking of heavy plastic sheeting? But how to attach it is what my DH and I are working on--So the more opinions the merrier--we do have lots of lumber--mostly for the larger coop--but need an easy fix? Anyone coming to the Hamilton county fair?? I would love to buy 2 birds at 3 months to 1 year to add to my flock--while we were on vacation one English orph.(Penny) died from brooding to the point of death

, I have been taking her sister off the nest everyday this past week to keep the same thing from occurring--she seems to have stopped this morning-YA! So I need 2 proflict laying hens to add to the flock. The Buckeye hen (Nutmeg) has made a terrific addition-such personality!! She ran out to talk with me the first morning my mom feed, she saw my mom and could not get back in the coop fast enough! Mom swears she was clucking to all the others that it was not their Human! They were fast friends by the time I got back!!

Hey, i am in 37363 North Hwy.58 about 5 miles from birchwood and/or Hwy 60 - for instance, husband works at Mckee it is 19miles from the house. kind of crazy that this is called Ooltewah but it is.

Here are the pics, I do need really good description or pictures for my Hubie to winterize this. Please, excuse the donkey's ear. The run parts you see are to attach to the door or I guess I could add a simple pop door and use the side--so the chickens can't peck what ever we use. This coop was suppose to be purchased and the Lady who was to build one for use, never did build one in the promise time(after giving twice the requested time). So, my husband built this VERY fast--from what ever we could find around the barn, etc. Not beautiful--but strong. Your right--StacyTn, that's along way to still call it Ooltewah--I thought it changed to Harrison around there.

You could cover it with blue board insultation at not much cost.

It would cut the wind, provide some insulation affect, it would be easy to put up and take down in the spring.

And you can cut it with a pocket knife.

It comes in 4x8 sheets.

I knew the one that was started in Kingsport is huge. I set down with our new manager and discussed with him the popularity of chickens now and the need for a good full line of products. I also ask him if they where considering doing a swap like Kingsport and he felt it was doable. So...I guess it does depend on the manager and what he is willing to ask corporate for.
If you go back to Delinda's let me know. I am still wanting a couple crele chicks. I only had one hatch out and my broody will not take it. It is not showing interest in eating or drinking so I don't know what to do. Any suggestions out there???

I like that idea because I have some what a smiliar siutation in a couple of my coops

We used it inside a deer camp "cabin" ( my wife Joy called it a shack) and it worked well for us.

The only thing that I may watch out for is direct strong winds.

In that case I would cover the blue board with some type of plywood or more a sturdy material.
