Anyone else in Maryville have fun experiences with our post office? The latest joy from them happened this morning. My eggs arrived this morning, and went out for delivery before the post office opened to the public. I got my email update from them saying that it was out for delivery, and immediately called them wondering why I wasn't called and why they weren't held there. Answer: sorry somehow it got overlooked. I get this answer often from them

Now our 18 eggs are in someones vehicle since 8 this morning. We were told they would be here 12:30-1:00, it is 1:32. I have to leave to pick up my kids and drop my husband off at work soon. I am so frustrated! It is hot out there!

What are your postal horror story's?

Hello everyone!

Just checking in. I have been away but life has given me another twist and I suddenly have more time on my hands.

How is everyone's birds? I have sold/given away alot of mine because I was too busy to care for the number I had. I narrowed it down to (and this is a lose list) SFHs, Sulmtalers, Barnevelders (bantams and standards), Layers and a few pet bantams.... and then my old Dels who are in retirement.

I have been paying my mother to care for the chickens and now she has the bug... she wants friendly layers. Any color egg, any body type of feathering is fine with her. What do you all think? Two Salmon Favorolles, two Dels, two ???? . She likes Barnevelders, but I'm thinking she would like EEs too. Or Welsummers. One thing is for sure... I hope this doesn't make me start wanting more!!

Welcome back, thought you might have been abducted or at least listed as MIA.

Well I just thought I was done raising chicks for the year. I have a hen sitting on eggs and just found the nest today. I guess she didn't get eaten ......lol

Do you guys always ignore the new people, or just me. Three posts all ignored, last time on this board, thanks for the welcome!

. I like the poster above am new too. From what I have seen on here things kind of wax and wane. Some days there are a great deal of posts and some not. I saw your post about the post office but I do not have any experience with it. I hope it worked out for you. I also think the weekends (Fri. evening-Sunday night) tend to be more idle on here.

As a newbie myself I am just learning as far as BYC goes. This is my first experience with any forum so I don't know how they usually work. I too have posted without any replies but I just assumed it was how it goes sometimes. I plan on sticking around to see how it goes because I have met some really nice people.
