lets see if I can catch up...

Terry... I tested it up to a 100 watts on a regular bulb and 250 on a heat bulb. Since the heat lamps are directional, it does not get the top metal that hot. A 100 watt regular scored a temp of 250 degrees at 1/2 inch from bulb but dissipates quickly (50 degrees less every inch) smoldering of paper happens at 400 degrees...your easily good on the 60 watt (free hints) 1. line the top with foil and then put shavings back. 2. try a black light, UV kills germs and keeps everyone calm
Congrats on the other ;)

Stang.....Bowl used for pics is reserved for chicken nuggets

Stacy....I have 2 for sure and 1 other possible. I also think I got a splash that popped out. Out of what hatched and lived I will def. take that percentage. Plus you can figure at least a couple more barred's are probably carrying a copy that I might get to come out later.

Hey everyone... I got my nipples in the mail. I'm having fun now with plastics! LMAO! Seriously... I got a mealworm project for AJ (gonna be AWESOME!) and now bucket waters too. AND I got some more carving tools for all the discounted pumpkins I'll be getting starting tomorrow. I'm seriously happy! Doesn't take much, except a outlet for some creative thinking.
Plastic Nipples in the mail, can just see the mail mans face.

I am kinds Leary. I have a couple of hens that don't go to bed until it is really dark. I need to see if you can set when they close or if they just close at dark.
Yeah the one I have in mind that sticks out... you set the time, just like a timer for a light. Let me see if I can find it again....

I bet I could setup a fodder system pretty easily with my existing aquaponics. Since there doesn't appear to be any reason to flood/drain the grow flats, a diverted hose could just trickle water through a bunch of them constantly. One snag point would be some sort of filter for the grain runoff... I might have to look in to this some more and see if I've got some junk laying around so I can start yet another project. Gotta love bugging the dw with odd side projects
