I understand you don't want to think it's Aspergilliosis, but I'd bet my paycheck on it now. Did the feed get wet? Did the water spill in the last month or more? Did a bad rain muck up the coop/run? This didn't HAPPEN overnight... this take time, so its not something he got into yesterday...We had given him the Pen on Monday, Wednesday and Friday about three weeks ago, and he turned out fine. Green poop like that just means he is dehydrated and hungery. If he isn't feeling well, he isn't eatting and drinking right. Again, yes, he could have looked fine yesterday with Aspergilliosis. Chickens put on a brave face until they just can't anymore. So by the time we are having this conversation, it is pretty far along.
Patience and a good luck charm. Don't give them water, as bad as you want. They will die. Just let them be, keep them at the right temp, hopefully they come around.... if you feel they aren't improving, I would give them water to put them out of their misery. But that is your choice.Ok, since I don't really anticipate the next batch of chicks arriving a lot better off than the last.... Any more tips on chicks arriving nearly dead from being froze?
No heat pad at all. Also we had 26 chicks that were packed in a 50 chick box- 13 on each side. Since they were coming from Ohio to Tn I would have really thought they would have either next day shipped them or put a heat pad in there but, nothingPatience and a good luck charm. They SHOULD have had a heat pad in this time of year. Did they take too long getting to you or something?
