We had given him the Pen on Monday, Wednesday and Friday about three weeks ago, and he turned out fine. He was fine yesterday.
I understand you don't want to think it's Aspergilliosis, but I'd bet my paycheck on it now. Did the feed get wet? Did the water spill in the last month or more? Did a bad rain muck up the coop/run? This didn't HAPPEN overnight... this take time, so its not something he got into yesterday...

Abstract

The efficacy of tetracycline sorbate (Pimafungil; contains 20% tetracycline sorbate w/v) was evaluated for treatment of Aspergillus fumigatus in naturally infected broiler chicks. The drug was administered to a group of 160 infected broiler chicks at 200 mg/l of drinking water, daily and consecutively for 5 days. Another group of 100 infected broiler chicks was kept as untreated controls. The chicks of the treated group showed appreciable improvement in clinical symptoms, mortality, body weight and recovery as shown by absence of gross and histopathological lesions and of the fungus.

His poop. Tommy agrees with me that he was fine yesterday. And the day before, he was crowing.
Green poop like that just means he is dehydrated and hungery. If he isn't feeling well, he isn't eatting and drinking right. Again, yes, he could have looked fine yesterday with Aspergilliosis. Chickens put on a brave face until they just can't anymore. So by the time we are having this conversation, it is pretty far along.

Again, I'd give him tetracycline ASAP and hope for the best. It is a wide range antibiotic anyways and, personally, the first one I choose.

Ok, since I don't really anticipate the next batch of chicks arriving a lot better off than the last.... Any more tips on chicks arriving nearly dead from being froze?
Patience and a good luck charm. Don't give them water, as bad as you want. They will die. Just let them be, keep them at the right temp, hopefully they come around.... if you feel they aren't improving, I would give them water to put them out of their misery. But that is your choice.

They SHOULD have had a heat pad in this time of year. Did they take too long getting to you or something?

Mail just ran... I hope I got my drill bit so I can get started doing buckets!!!! Good bye to the leaky waters of the past!

ETA - yup... its all I got, so no bills!

No heat pad at all. Also we had 26 chicks that were packed in a 50 chick box- 13 on each side. Since they were coming from Ohio to Tn I would have really thought they would have either next day shipped them or put a heat pad in there but, nothing

. They were shipped Tuesday at 4pm priority mail- we received them this morning. I would have thought they should have used a 25 chick box so they could keep warmer all bunched up.
