littlechicklet, they are looking good! I just love how the Orps keep you guessing!
Thank you. It will not be long hopefully before its a done deal on sexing. It took me months on my 2 EEs before I finally called them. Everyone say EEs are harder but these Orps are not easy because some pullets have larger combs & wattles and some almost none.

Does anyone have quail? My mom is thinking about getting some. Someone told her they always lay an egg everyday, but how long do they do that? I don't know anything about them.... Thanks!

Amy; Cocci is very rare by the time they are 6 months...almost unheard of by the time they are a year old. But some one made a good point, you never really know for sure what it is unless an autopsy is done.

UT has lowered the charge on necroscopys and shipping. I paid my vet $45 for shipping and the UT charge.

Well, I thought I would post a picture of my tiny flock. They graduated to a 75 gal aquarium this weekend and are growing like weeds. I hope you can bear with me. My little party of four has been a total joy. Thank you Terry for my first babies.

The black ball of fuzz over near the door is my Toy Poodle that has taken up guardian duty. He pulled his blanky over in front of them about an hour after they moved in. He won't even let my hubby too close to the babies.

And yes, he goes to the groomers today. And what you can't see is the broody chick. My little Partridge Silkie, Tilly, is on the far side of the brooder, nestled into a mound of shavings she made and sitting like a big girl. That is her favorite spot. So, I have 1 black Silkie (Zoe), 1 Partridge Silkie (Tilly), and 2 Lavender D'Uccles (Emma & Trudy) basking in the roman ruins. The background of the tank is glued, so its staying. So far, so good. And yes, they are named...couldn't help it.

@ TNBEARCHICK we are practically neighbors.

@littlechicklet pretty pix of your Orps

Thanks for all the help and advice you folks have given. I have learned a lot and hope to continue to do so.

OK folks HELP me identify this Roo.
I have no ideal what he is or how old he is.
I just know I have twin roos and they are very pretty.

Sorry the pics are a little fuzzy. I think they are camera shy.

If needed I can try to get some more that might not be fuzzy.

The are pics of the same roo.
One of them has a straight comb and the other one is a rose comb.

I want to show a pic of a Roo that I am thinking about showing.

Can I get an opinion from some of you that have shown before.

This MAY be my first time showing, (depends on what kind of feed back I get).

He is a Serema that I will be using for breeding.

This weekend was long days and lots of hard work.

I did get 4 of the new pens moved to our second location.

Just wanted to show a picture of them.

3 are 6x9 and the 4th is 6x20

Is he dirty? I only ask because if I had to guess I would say Columbian Wyandotte, but if there is yellowing of the feathers, may be mixed (especially since you did get both comb types, with straight comb not a desired trait)

ETA: Googled Columbian Plymouth Rocks and they have yellowing of the sex feathers sometimes, so maybe it's a cross? Shouldn't have both comb types...

Nope not dirty in the least. He and his brother look identical except the comb.
