Hi there,
I keep reading and even got tips from "Jerry" that they hatch often on day 19. So I think I will put mine in Lock down on dy 17 too. These came from a show breeder on ebay, So I don't know what I will get, but I am hoping to get something nice. She was really nice to let me know what she had together and wants to know the hatch rate for her own records. The ones I am buying from AJ are pretty too(mille fleur's) and they are about laying age. I can't wait. I just hope they keep going. So far, 5/6 look like good eggs. Hopefully, the next batch will be from my own.

Good luck, they can be rather hard to hatch. I was disappointed in my last hatch. I had 11 make it to lockdown and only 6 hatch. You should also grind up their food. The pieces are too big for them to eat at first. And you should ask Jerry to buy the two books "The Serama" and "Serama Colors". They are very good and will help you out tremendously. Did you by chance buy your ebay eggs from a shipper in Louisiana? She had a 6 plus 3 auction. I can recommend a few breeders if you want to buy more eggs. You can just PM me.

Hey, there's no big rush for me...I mean, I really want them, but I don't want you to think you have to come for my birds. I understand with what is going on. I am going either way. Just let me know what you decide or work out.
Me either. I was not going to mess with it until spring anyway. So don't worry about these little things and just be with your family. I know this is a difficult time and I always have a hard time finding the right words of comfort. I am a deeply Christian man so my first thoughts are always of sadness for the family but yet joy in knowing that the departed is home now. Free of worry, pain, and suffering. According to God's plan which we may never understand and may make us sad on occasion...but it is the only plan that matters and the only one that will save us all someday.
I understand that not everyone feels as I do. It is my comfort though and I hope one day will be every ones.

AJ - I'm sorry for your loss. It is always rough losing someone.

Don't worry about the mealworms. Worst case, they fit in a flat rate box. Just worry about yourself and your family.

I have been so looking forward to this show for months.

I may sneak off and be there about 8:00 AM.

to get to look at the birds and make my deliveries.

I may ask Rodney or Terry to hang onto the Seremas for Beth till she gets there.
I know Rodney will be there EARLY so his will not be an issue.

Terry only lives a little ways from me so maybe she might bring back my meal worms.

After all I'm not needed in Jefferson City till 5 pm.

Has anyone ordered from poultry hollow in middle tennessee? I just wanted to check with everyone before I placed an order. I want to make sure it's ok.
If they're who I think, I've heard a lot of things, some not so good.. but I'm not sure if it is or not.

Are they the ones that during the summer, offered to come to Knoxville to deliver?
Yes, but I am not going to do it. I am trying to only buy from show quality breeders or good breeders. And I don't mean that snobbish at all, but I would like to hatch and sell chicks later. I want to start off with the best I can find. And I just didn't get a good vibe. I also looked on here and there are a couple of threads. I just didn't like the conversation I had with the person there. Couldn't really answer my questions on what colors they had when they were looking at the chicks that were several weeks old. Not a good sign.
