Eastern Washington

We are down to 2 eggs today after candling, but I saw one move and blink in reaction to the light!! We will know for sure in about 5 more days :weee Schnell controlling the weather Dirty little seagull Eating tomato soup in her basinest @CowboysAngel When are you moving and are you finding homes for eveyone? Mine are all grown up and expecting their own chicks soon. @Saris When my second hem started laying, my first went broody and stole her eggs. I'm new and in Spokane too. They are silkie serama crosses, so I don't know too much on what to expect.

@littleredwagon I bet they will be adorable! I'm hoping to get some silkie eggs this spring when I incubate. I just love their fluff! I hope your 2 make it and are pullets.

@Saris Egg one was underdeveloped so it was buried. Egg two has a very robust little embryo. I candled last night and saw it trying to turn itself around.Today is day 17, so the peeping should begin soon.

@littleredwagon I moved August 5th, and I was able to rehome everyone :)

Already met a co-worker who is going to help me out with some chickens, she wants me to take some now, but I am going to wait till spring...will truly be "Backyard" chicken keeper now since I love in town... Lol so I have to build a coop and run. They'll only be able to free range under supervision...

@CowboysAngel Good! My egg is starting to zip you guys. Today will be the day we have out first baby. And it's my boyfriend's birthday too!!
Awesome! Happy birthday to your man. I wanna see picks of that little baby! My eggs just went in today so hopefully in 21 days I'll have a few new babes too.

@Saris there will be waaaay too many pictures haha I'm so excited. I'm sorry Quesodilla has been slacking so I don't have eggs. Next time for sure!
Don't worry about it, I want to get hatching down before I try a staggered hatch. We can plan better if you want to do a bunch next December or January, I'm happy to keep practicing, haha.
