Bonnie Lass, I'm so envious of your garden! I understand we might be getting snow again in a couple days, or at least quit cold We're at 2200 ft. and snow level will drop to 2500 ft. Needless to say, my soil hasn't even been turned yet. Today will be pretty nice, but I really wanted to work on the coop and run. Since the weather is changing, that means wind though.
How old are your chicks? I love their names.

I went outside too. We've been working really hard fencing so that we can move our new goats to a permanent pasture. The chicken wire is just not cutting it!
I also was blessed by my neighbor who rototilled me a garden spot. It's 3x as large as I was hoping to complete this year with just my shovel.
What have you been up to? Getting ahead on that chicken coop?

I got a lot of siding up the last few days, but today it's raining, so I drag the tools out when it slows down, then drag everything back in when it picks up again. I'm pretty soaked right now. It's spring break for my 12 yr. old granddaughter, and we can't even go anywhere today until the furnace people come finish up. I hate waiting for people. It's one of my pet peeves.

CarriesPeeps, That's sure a lot of chicks! What do you use for a brooder? And 50 tomato plants? You must do a lot of canning. I wish we had a longer growing season here. I can only get the grape sized ones to ripen. We run out of summer long before the big ones ripen, so I always end up buying boxes at the farmers' market for canning pasta sauce.

Chickengarden, what are you going to plant in your new garden? And you've got goats? How fun for you. Our neighbors used to have goats, that meant WE had goats every time they broke out! They're stinkers in more ways than one!

Well, another crappy day, so I think I'll head for Yakima and do Costco. Maybe it will clear up this afternoon.
