Well, I know for sure I have one hen wanting babies. she hasn't left her nest in days. I had to pull about 15 eggs from another nest because whoever was on them decided they didn't want babies. the nest in the crate, this morning, I had 2 hens in there so I left those eggs alone but if they aren't getting attention or there are no hens on them tonight, I'm gonna pull them too. It gets too cold at night still for eggs not to be sat on at night.

. no one was on the crate nest last night when I checked on everyone after I got home at 9:30pm so I might have to pull them tonight and start collecting eggs in the morning and just let the one hen have her batch and really watch closely on my other ones to see when any one else will be wanting babies

Once I had a hen sit tight until just before hatching, she must have heard them start to pip then she bailed, I saved about 4 of them but it about broke my heart. Maybe better to lose them at the first instead of day 18 or so.

Does anyone know if Spring weather will be back this weekend? It's been so cold and snowy the last few days I think I'm slipping back into that Winter funk.

I've never had a silkie but I love their looks! How big do they get? I can't have bantams because my big girls would bully them.

We're going to be getting this handsome fella next weekend. So excited!

Those jowls do look pinchable!!!! Love the color! His face reminds me of a bulldog with that nose fold
