Eating Chicks?

I ate balut once, it was alright, kinda a cross between chicken and hardboiled egg. The beak was too chewy tho.
But I am one of those people who will try a lot of different things.

Ok, don't shoot the messenger... but my DH is wondering if you could use them for catfish bait.

Yes you can. It's called "chick baiting" or something like that. I plan on doing a lot of fishing this year with leftover chicken parts and chicks that never made it out of the shell. I'd like to fish for more than just catfish, especially since there's a large stocked pond next door we plan on grocery shopping at to save money.

You guys have to watch Bizarre foods on the Travel Channel. It amazes me what other cultures eat. I will admit that there are some things that I would try and others that I don't think I could look at in person. In the Asian countries I've seen everything from Century eggs to unlaid eggs eaten. Fried fertile and unfertile eggs. Meaning there is a chick or duckling almost fully developed in the egg when they deep fry it. I have to say that the roast suckling pig from Spain did look yummy.
