It snowed here for the first time since I got my chickens. At first they didn't want to touch the snow, now they are eating it. Silly birds wont it cool down there bodies? Anyone else's chickens eat the snow?

I haven't seen mine do that but my dogs sure do. Even when they have a full water bowl. Funny animals

My son's puppy is 10 months old and this is her first snow too. She growls and barks at the snow as its falling. She was eating it too.

My chickens will eat the snow. At least they used to when they came out of the coop.
