Thin shelled eggs are easily broken and thus fair game for eating, IMO.The shells seem to be alittle thinner.
They could be getting broken by chaotic happenstance, due to the 'fighting' between old and new birds. Could be more of an integration issue than actual egg eating problem.
So maybe we look at:
