That is true Little. I still will take the boxes myself to the post office though! Oh also I should add when we ship I wrap each egg in TP several wraps until there is about a 1/4 inch around the egg in thickness. Put ALL the eggs into a carton and tape it together on all ends. Place in a box stuffed with packing peanuts and are shipped priority. Just throwing that out there in case anyone was curious with the eggs the lady got they are well protected.

Brandon, I use a kitchen scale for my postal stuff. It's digital and I dont think that I paid over $30 on amazon or one of my bread supply places. Just in case you start lookin.

And I will totally attest to the quality of the packaging of eggs sent by Bishops Chickens. Its like opening up Fort Knox

Thanks Kim and I will look into that scale. Yall doing alright down in your part of the state? It get's a bit colder and I think yall have had some snow also. We got an inch last Saturday but it went away pretty quickly.

I just received some eggs via USPS and half of them were broken, though they had been packed really well. She really should have been happy they were all in one piece. I really wasn't suprised because of the time of the year and the increase in packages. I can just imagine the workers tossing them around like crazy. If the risk had been a dealbreaker, I just wouldn't have ordered via the mail and really not in December. It's pretty much like going to the casino. I just had to try my luck.

Hey Freeze sorry to hear that. We rarely (knock on wood) have issues with eggs getting broke as we really pack them as we would like to receive them. Hopefully as I said before this will blow over. Will find out something soon as they said they were setting the eggs tomorrow and will let me know in 4-5 days how they are developing.
