Ebay & Paypal is PEEVING me OFF! RANT!!

I am too scared to sell eggs on eBay. I am afraid of getting negative feedback for things that are outside my control (shipping, improper incubation, etc.)

I would look closely at the buyers feedback. If they have a good amount of feedback, and it is all positive, and you want to get your incubator out of the house, ship it. If you can't trust them by looking at the feedback, I wouldn't ship it... I know I can't afford to lose any money right now, and I'm sure nobody wants to actually take that chance. I have stopped using ebay. I sold stuff off and on, and recently couldn't ship an item out due to extenuating circumstances. I explained to the buyer what was going on, but when she got it, she still left neg. feedback saying I ignored her... Oh, but the item was PERFECT!

Now my score dropped Dramatically, after all these years of 100%. I contacted ebay, and it took a nasty letter to get them to respond, and tell me basically too bad. They don't care about the seller any more, whether it is legitimate or not. PLUS, they are way too expensive anymore. It's not worth the fees to sell when you have craigslist at your disposal!

I do guarantee the eggs will get there unbroken, but state no guarantee on hatch rate.

I have not had a broken egg in over 3 years shipping them, still have 100% feedback 5 star rating.

Most people know the hatching is out of your control.

I only ship fresh eggs and pack them so none get broken.

I just buy on eBay. Don't sell. I don't think I could take the aggravation. I can tell you from experience that neither PayPal nor eBay are user friendly. Periodically PayPal decides I don't exist, or it has a fit about my credit card, or something. The same card I have used for the last five years. I usually get whatever the problem is fixed in short order, but it is annoying.

As far as I know, I have only had 1 egg I shipped arrive broken. I do see a lot of discussions on the hatching thread about eggs that do not develop being "infertile." Lack of development, especially on shipped eggs, does not mean infertility.

I have found that the buyers in my shoe store are usually very good and understanding, even when the occasional mistake occurs, so maybe I worry needlessly.

I am not joking I even had pics of it the day I packed it up the email from her son and a everything but it didn't matter they want the buyer to be satisfied no matter what. the seller is just up a creek without a paddle, we can't even leave negative feedback anymore

Thanks everyone for the advice and comments on the situation. I decided due to the buyer having 100% feedback that I would ship it. I am hoping for a good outcome, but I will never use Ebay nor Paypal again. I hope everyone tells anyone that is thinking to sell on ebay about this policy of theirs. This is just bad business. Thanks all.
