Well, I'd like to say welcome...and I hope it's your first....and NOT last post!

I reread what I had written before and thought it didn't make sense...

Hey- it's the spitting image of Ruth. I'll let her know she has a twin - wonder if her neck is crooked too.

When I bought my 5 EEs the feed store called them Aracaunas. I argued with the man that they didn't have tufts but instead had muffs already at one week old. He kept insisting they were true Aracaunas, not even Ameracaunas. Well I knew better and bought them anyway and all 5 have beards and muffs and 3 of the 5 lay green eggs, including Ruth - who looks exactly like this bird from ABC site. Does this mean I may have true Ameracaunas? I swear that's Ruth down to every feather.

Well, I don't actually know Cindy Lou, but I HAVE admired her listings on Ebay for a long while. The message I sent to her (as Littlefeet-4, my Ebay ID) asking about clarification on her Ameraucana chickens was the first contact we've ever had. Thanks for responding, Cindy Lou. Like others have said, I hope you'll stick around BYC too - it's really a great site.

Hi folks, I appreciate the kind notes and e-mails. As far as the invititation to join in.. I wish I'd found you earlier. At this point, though, I think the best thing for me to do is close this chapter and move on. I did want to say thanks. The original poster that began this has since e-mailed and apologized (happily accepted). Other folks have sent very kind e-mails and I've seen some posts here, also. Still, besides varmint attacks on my chickybabies, this has been probably the most stressful time I've ever had associated w/ my chickens. I have enough REAL stress in my life (Don't we all?) then to log in one day and find a heads up from someone to check an unknown (to me) board that turns out to have FOUR PAGES of discusion about me going on. Sigh. I mean.. can you imagine? I sure couldn't... I still can't.

Anyway, thank you again. The kind notes were a welcome, welcome relief. I truly appreciate them and thank you. CIndy Lou

Hi Cindy Lou!!! I was just coming to say that about your gurantee and that was likely the reason for your message. I've never gotten eggs from you, but had e-mailed you last year (maybe on hatchaholics?) because I was oogling your silver laced cochins. hehe

You have gorgeous birds and all of my questions, dealings, etc. with you have been great. I truly do hope you will stick around.
