bio-fuel for the truck

I assume you are talking about bio-diesel. Its simple to make. Just google it. But if you live in a warm climate then its a wast of time. Filtered cooking oil runs just fine pored strait in the fuel tank. Smells good too. It just gets thick in cold weather an the fuel pump cant get it to the engine. Ive seen people heat the fuel tank an lines so they dont have to make bio-diesel.

We either make our own bread or buy it at the salvage grocery store. I sometimes grind our own wheat and only buy 25 lb. bags of flour.
I stay at home mostly to save gas. It's lonely and boring, but the super-high gas prices several months back made it somewhat of a habit.
We don't eat out often.
We never vacation or do much of anything for fun

We brought our Dish Network package down to the most basic plus local channels. Giving it up altogether is not something I could handle being alone all the time.
We've kept old cars going instead of buying new, a 1985 pickup, 1985 two-door and 12-year-old SUV.
We never send any clothes out for dry-cleaning and I do repairs and some sewing.
We never turn down free venison.

There's still a lot we could do, but I have not given up my diet cola; nor dh his chips.
I've tried gardening here, but there is so much shade and the soil is poor.

Try box gardening. We have that since Florida soil is SAND and it's doesn't hold water very well. We got a bunch of building materials free from Craigslist and hubby used to bring home a bunch of plastic buckets from work. We built wooden squares to create risen plant beds, added good soil and potting soil to it. As for the buckets, drill holes in the bottom for drainage. We will have tomatoes and bell peppers (tall bush like plants) growing in the buckets. Corn, Peas, and other stuff growing in the box gardens. We got the boxes and buckets prepped already, just need seeds and more soil for the boxes then we are all set.
We live in the woods so its hard to get sunlight but hubby cut down and trimmed back a bunch of trees so we are able to do gardening, not an easy task but it worked.
