Looks like it's ~5 minutes to edit without the edit text showing up.Is there an exact time frame for this "quick edit...won't show that you edited it" way vs the other way?

You're welcome. Like you, I was also curious, so I'm glad the thread was started. That was one of those little things that I've wondered about (why 'edit' shows up only sometimes). Thanks for clarifying Kathy!
It's really just my own personal hangup, probably stemming from getting caught trying to cheat on a spelling test in second grade (true story) and being humiliated far beyond what the transgression called for (Catholic school) and I am permanently scarred from the experience all the way into my seventh decade of life.
But it just seemed worth bringing up if there's even a small chance one annoying irritation can be removed from life where there are so many that it's damned hard to get through the day without drinking.![]()
I can justify accepting something that drives me nuts if there's even one little positive trade-off.We have the "grace period" as mentioned in this thread, but any edits after that are noted. This makes it easier for readers who might feel like they saw something that's now different than what they remember... so they don't just think they are crazy![]()
