e That's what's nice about ducks is they grow fairly quickly. My Cayuga is just about 3 months old and she's already pretty big. I'm sure boys would be even bigger.Follow along with the video below to see how to install our site as a web app on your home screen.

You might try searching BYC for "Breeding Pens" - I want to say I did that once, and got lots of good ideas. If you are doing 1-to-1 pairings, with small birds, I know some folks do those in actual breeding cages (just in the breeding season, then range at other times). My birds are all big, and I keep families, so my situation is different (at least for now).

I tend to look at lots of different ideas to then come up with something totally different for myself, derived from all the ideas. You do know, I assume, that chain link on its own is not sufficient predator protection, correct? (Raccoons can reach in and do horrible, horrible things). You may wish to just set up something that makes sense and is safe, but in a way such that you can disassemble and alter next season to improve. I know that no matter how many things I read, and how nice my first coop I built was, I had to actually have chickens live in it before I realized its limitations. (Maybe it's just me, though, I may be newer at this than you are...)![]()
Speaking of which, I think I'll go read the Duck Houses thread some more...![]()
