Do you know much about Cavalier King Charles spaniels?

Before I was married I promised myself I would get one at some point (along with a peacock - and I did that part). We have always had mutts which have been great, but I do wonder about a CKC.
The other breed that sounds interesting is the labradoodle - though they may not be a true "breed".

I want to get a golden doodle. They seem really nice & cute & supposedly they don't shed.
