Wow!
well its 23 temp outside

Chickens are wearing a down coat. Unless she is seriously ill she does not need a heat lamp. she won't stay under it because she is not cold. You said she has mites and lice so get some poultry dust powder for mites and lice like you were told to and treat her for them.
Chickens exposed to heat taste better as well :lau

Growing up in AK, we never had a snow day, but they did close school one day because of the cold. Of course, it was seventy below zero and the busses would not run :p

I'm sure they all had block heaters. No help, huh? At -70, I'm not surprised. Humans aren't designed to exist at those temps

Yes. I have gro gel, and sav a chick. I had to order the gro gel online because TSC didn't sell it, so I grabbed the sav a chick just in case the gro gel didn't come in time. I got the chick with the weak neck to take a good amount of that gro gel, and the next time I checked in on her she was perked right back up! All three chicks are doing beautifully!
:clap
hey yall i got a chicken that cant take the cold weather and i dont know what to do for her any suggestions  :idunno
You could try one of those strings of lights like Mike has used for his brooder or Sally and Mike were talking about for the Serma.
There are also heated pet beds that have had type thing that you can pull out and microwave. I use one to keep waterfall all day out in one of my small coops. Ultimately, you could sew a small bag and put dry beans in it and microwave them. It won't hold as much heat for as long but it is cheap.

Of course! I get it by the gallon from a small family operation in Massachusetts (via my cheesemaking supplier), and I freeze it in pint jars for later use (had some go moldy once). I pulled out enough to make candy from 2 cups of syrup. Yum!!!!

Yeah, in my yard/plans, there's "pre-fence" and "post-fence" eras...
