That is mean! I'm freezing my tushie off here!

I have never understood the WWD. She likes me to keep my things neat and clean. I always keep them clean, I sterilize my hatcher and the trays. I am guessing it is best I do this earlier in the day. Normally I have the cleaning done well before the WWD gets home from work. I was busy cleaning them when she got home. This is what she saw: Some how this was bad, I do not understand it. The first thing out of her mouth was " what are you doing? I told I was cleaning the trays... She wanted to know "And how long have you cleaned them in my bathtub?" She did not seem satisfied when I said about 2 years. Why would she ask a question if she knew the answer would upset her? I am so confused. I am doing what she likes keeping things nice and clean....and she is upset....

Actualy, I do this all the time. I don't understand her anger. My husband is even a germophobe and i never get that reaction!

I run 35%-40% until lock down then 65%-70% with spikes above that just to keep the humidity high. Temp has run 99.5-100. Have a 40 watt bulb hanging over incubator this hatch as seemed to be able to how 100 more constantly.

Also I am strongly considering leaving BYC. There are few things I will not eat, but every post I read about eating raw fish made a little puke come up in mouth each time. Sorry but not sure how much more I can take.

Strange - I dont ever recall a post in 7 years talking about eating raw fish.

S&G tagging happened this evening. Weights are highly variable, perhaps due to the shipping effects. One single (very friendly) boy was head and shoulders above the rest at 6.88oz at 2 weeks (bigger than Tank), while two were closer to 2 oz and were scary tiny. Most were 4-5.5 oz. So they are closer to the Puppy hatch chick weights. I probably shouldn't have ordered chicks from Idaho in February - I don't know how much of this is shipping effect. We'll see how they gain as they grow, maybe they'll catch up.   If the big boy looks good, he might be an alternate blood line to keep (I worry abut basing all of my big birds on Tank).


That's nothing compared to the mayhem when theres even a hint of frozen precipitation int he south. Completely ridiculous. People freak out and buy 9 loaves of bread, 5 gallons of milk, and a year's supply of TP.
