I've never owned any horses, thought about it from time to time.

They are nice to have around, but if you don't plan on riding them, can I suggest a donkey or something that likes to kill snakes and chase off predators? Donkey's are protective mean things and great guard-donkeys.

We got a new horse a few weeks ago. I can't get close to him yet. Haven't tried to ride him yet. He let hubby sort of do his feet, with many reservations. He's supposedly an ex barrel racer horse, so I just need to win his heart.

We do, but it was designed for a pony and children, not an adult and fullsized rider. I can use our front pasture as an adult sized round pen. LOL my issue isn't the round pen, but rather, someone to hold onto the baby/toddler while I tried to ride.

I am not prejudice, just curious, I, myself am greater Scandinavian, my wife on the other hand is Lesser Scandinavian and Lesser German.
