It is an mammal part I know for sure. Cow or Pig is unknown. We raise the animals, send them over to our processor and he does the dirty work. Although on this particular package has no markings. I know it is meat but won't find out until we start to grill dinner later.
ONLY ONE NOT MARKED so I grabbed it, feeling adventuress.

I heart brisket but slow cooked.. It feels like Steak Shaped. It about thawed but don't want to ruin the surprise element. Waiting for grouch mouse spouse to come home and open it. It might just be a membership to the jelly of the month club. The gift that just keeps on giving!

We got beef tongues in the freezer. I kept meaning to figure out how to cook it, and today I looked up recipes and realized that anywhere you can use a brisket you can use tongue. Braised, slow-cooked, smoked, or barbecued are the most popular I've seen. Going to try barbecue tongue and lengua (tongue tacos) with the two I have.
