When I was working & running around a lot, I kept the majority of the 20's I got from wherever. After a while, I'd accumulated a good-sized roll of them, every one of them joined to its neighbor with scotch tape across the end.People just bring them when they pay for animals, and I always wonder about them. Sorry they don't get to stay around long enough I just hand them off to the hay guy or the feed store or whatever other bill.
One one of our trips to WI, all the kids decided to treat DW & I to a camping trip. When we checked in, our son tried to pay with a credit card; was told they didn't accept credit cards. Now what!? Roll of 20's to the rescue! I went out to the truck, retrieved the roll that I'd brought along for possible emergencies, and handed it to the desk clerk. She had to stand there & cut them apart, one bill at a time, and flatten them all out (they'd been wound pretty tight) while #1 son & his buddy stood there in shock that I even had that much cash on hand. I stood there enjoying what the clerk was going through. Who the hell, in a business handling large amounts of money on a regular basis, doesn't accept debit/credit cards these days (except that one, obviously)?
